Paper Towel Art II
Remember the paper towel jewelry I made awhile back? I used the same techniques to make the covers for this journal. I'm very happy with the colors & how it turned out. (thank you Michelle for teaching me your paper towel technique)
I've always liked Asian influenced art but have never made any until now. Not sure if I'd make anymore or not. I often create pieces & use them as a way to work through & try new techniques & then when I'm done with the piece & feel comfortable with the technique, I move on. I look at each piece as a way for me to grow artistically.
I'm working on another journal right now made from a paper lunch sack & I'm liking how it's turning out. It has this leather-look to it. My part is done, all I'm waiting for his my DH to make me a button fastener from his exotic wood collection.

Tracy, I have gone through several of your works and they are all so awesome! If there were just more hours in a day and life that didn't get in the way of things! sigh! Wanda
this journal is very beautiful. You did a terrific job using Michelle's technique. thanks for sharing it.
Hi Tracy, I love your paper towel! I also made a large sheet and used it on a quilt, I was really impressed with the end result. There are lots of things you could use it on! Thanks for sharing, Carole;D
Tracy, this journal is beautiful! Like the Asian touch too. And I still haven't attempted Michelle's wonderful technique. I will, though.
Thanks for sharing!
This journal is really nice Tracy, you're so creative. I'm like you in that I'm curious about a technique and then when I find out all about it I move on. I don't always have to try the technique, sometimes it's enough just to read about the whole process.
What a fabulous journal Tracy. Your work just gets better all the time.
I too, know just what you mean about trying out techniques. Sometimes its as if I get bored with something and just want to move on or at least push it further. There are so many things out there I want to try but like you my creative side also has to come after the day job :(
